For over 15 years, Arnold Glas has produced laser-welded steel spacers for the insulating glass industry. Spacers in the 5 and 7 series have a thin zinc coating and can be processed on all common bending machines. Optimized perforations prevent drying agents from leaking into the space between the panes.
| Application | | PROFILAR Spacers are suitable for a wide variety of functional glazing units, including fire protection units. |
| Function | | Laser-welded and easy to bend, they have a similar thermal expansion coefficient to glass. The curved frames offer high stability. PROFILAR steel spacers considerably reduce the U value around the edges of glazing units, since steel has a far lower heat conductivity than aluminium. |
